As a way of better understanding the transformation of an architectural idea throughout the design process, Lou Kahn’s First Unitarian Church was redrawn based on a series of submitted plans by the architect. Most fascinating is the solidarity of certain elements, made visible by lots of overlap, compared to whole rooms that came and went throughout the design process.
